The Sheridan Student Union is a student led organization and we are governed by a student elected Board of Directors. Students are voted in by their peers to represent their interests, needs, and ideas within the SSU. They make up our Board of Directors and help advocate for student life and change on campus.

Sara: Fridays 11 am - 1 pm
Vidhya: Fridays 11 am - 1 pm

HMC Office Hours

Naya: Tuesdays 9 am - 11 am

DAVIS Office Hours

Kishan: Wednesdays 3 pm - 5 pm
Rajdeep: Fridays 12 pm to 2 pm

2023 - 2024 Board Elections

Earlier this year, voting for the Sheridan Student Union Board of Directors candidates took place online at simplyvoting.thessu.ca between March 27 at 9:00 a.m. and March 29, 2022 at 4:00 p.m. Students were able to vote for the number of available seats at their home campus. 4 seats were available at the Trafalgar (Oakville) Campus, 4 at Davis (Brampton) and 4 at HMC (Mississauga). 

We are proud to welcome our new Board of Directors!

What Does the Board Do?

• Provide strategic corporate oversight to the Sheridan Student Union Inc.

• Advocate for a better student life on behalf of over 25,000 Sheridan students

• Oversee and manage the SSU President

• Review and evaluate current and future opportunities to enhance the student experience.

• Develop the long-term strategic vision for the SSU.

• Approve the annual operating budget and student fees of the Sheridan Student Union.

Previous Board Accomplishments:

• Active involvement in the planning of and contributions to the new Student Centre development at HMC.

• Sponsoring several student initiatives in different student communities (LGBTQ+, Mental Health, International students, etc.)

• Contribution of $10,000 toward student academic awards to highlight achievement of fellow Sheridan students

• Approval of facility upgrades to our student centres at Davis and Trafalgar to use more sustainable products and technology.

 

 

Ex-officio Members

In addition to our elected students, there are ex-officio (non-voting) seats. These seats are held by the General Manager, Dean of Students, SSU President, and Executive Team.
