Meet Jessica, your TRC Vice President!

My name is Jessica Marshall, and I am your Vice President for the Trafalgar Campus! Prior to this role, I have had the chance to connect with students as a Health and Wellness Peer Mentor and as a Peer Tutor for the college. I am passionate about meeting people, creating new things, building connections and erasing the stigma surrounding mental health. I am extremely excited to bring what I have learned from my previous positions into my new role with the SSU.

Get to know Jessica:

Q: What are some of your goals for your role this year?

A: My goals for this year are to really engage with the student body and get to know what drives our students so I can focus on bringing in services that YOU want! Mental health awareness and creating safe spaces for LGBTQ+ students is important to me, so I endeavor to find support services that can enhance all student lives. I would also love to see student driven creations like Sheridan Life Radio and our community art spaces become a place for students to showcase their work.

Q: What program are you in? And why did you choose this program at Sheridan?

A: I am entering my second year of a BA in Illustration and very excited to see where it takes me. Sheridan College is truly a leader in the creative arts and so making the decision to come here was a no brainer!

Q: What are 3 things on your bucket list?

  • See the Northern Lights.

  • Do an artist retreat in Banff National Park.

  • Be part of a musical flash mob.

Jessica’s favourites:

Song: Vienna by Billy Joel
Food: Thai mango sticky rice.
My favourite book is a hard question to answer! I LOVE books, but I could read Good Omens by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett over and over again.
TV Show:
Definitely Game of Thrones, which is also one of my favourite books ;)
