    • Support students academically through Academic Appeals, directing students to

    • Meet with Associate Deans and Program Coordinators to support students in various faculties.

    • Promote awareness of academic services that support student success.

    • Gather feedback on academic challenges and identify gaps in support services.

HMC Campus (Part-time Student Position)

    The Student Life Events Team Lead plays a key role in enriching campus life beyond academics by providing strategic direction and delivering engaging social programming aligned with the SSU’s long-term strategic plan.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Plan, organize, and execute engaging in-person events that integrate advocacy initiatives and support overall student engagement.

    • Provide leadership to Event Assistants throughout the academic year and serve as a team lead during major and evening events.

    • Oversee campus venue operations, including sound and production coordination, while delivering strong customer service to students and stakeholders.

    • Collaborate with internal departments (Marketing, Events, Clubs, Executive teams) and external campus partners (Athletics, Faculty, Security, Student Affairs).

    • Gather and analyze student feedback to develop monthly engagement strategies in collaboration with the Director, Programming & Events.

    • Support SSU programming, catering events, orientations, trainings, and required SU activities.

    • Maintain regular office hours for planning and execution, operate in alignment with SSU policies and values, and prepare transition materials for incoming Student Life Leads.
