We strive to do this as an active member of the Sheridan community, facilitating opportunities for student leadership, and creating strategic partnerships to improve the quality of life on campus.
Pillars of Success
-
Our students face many challenges in and out of the classroom and there is a growing need for support to ensure our students feel safe and we provide them with a level of well-being that allows them to achieve their goals.
-
Providing opportunities for students to learn and grow, not only as individuals but also as members of a community is an important part of our role.
-
As leaders within the community, the SSU will focus on ensuring the student voice is present and heard in matters that impact the educational experience.

Your Member Service Ambassadors
Your Member Service Ambassadors are your go-to for all service-related questions at the SSU.
I really enjoy being able to help students navigate Sheridan, whether that means answering questions, connecting them with the right resources, helping with events, or simply making their experience on campus a little easier.
What brought me to work for the SSU is helping fellow Sheridan students out; be a line of support whenever they need it.
It has been a joy to me being able to meet new people everyday and helping them as much I can
I am an international student, the SSU show me how college can be a community you can meet new people. Sheridan gave me the opportunity to build a great start of my career.
My job is to make sure many student inquiries don’t go unheard or unanswered and that they are satisfied! I am also responsible for ensuring that students have access to our SSU facilities such as the den and various different spaces.
I want to help students feel welcome, comfortable, and supported when they visit the SSU.
All in all, the SSU enhances the student experience and it is a privilege to have been able to assist with that in multiple ways.
I do my best to help Sheridan students find what they need, and learn how to make the most of their time here.
I am looking forward to helping students navigate and learn about the new Health and Dental plan this year as much as possible. I also want to help students learn about all the resources available to them through the SSU, such as Student Perks, Dressed for Success, and our Equipment Loan.
I’m looking forward to connecting with students, helping them access resources, and contributing to events that make campus life more engaging. What I love most about Sheridan is the creativity, diversity, and energy — there’s always something happening and always someone willing to help.
I work as a Member Service Ambassador/CSR, where I support students by answering questions, directing them to the right resources, and processing requests accurately while keeping things organized and professional even when things get fast-paced.
Your Social Media Coordinators
Meet the faces behind the posts and updates on our social media accounts
“I'm excited to connect with new people, collaborate with students and the SSU team, and create engaging content that helps build a stronger sense of community on campus.”
“My goals are to get comfortable in my environment, and to learn new things and expand my knowledge from what I already know about social media.”
Your Content Team
Meet the creative faces behind our website management and lovely photographs
As a previous Events Team Lead, I wanted to join the Marketing and Communications team because I really admire the work they do and how much thought goes into it. Creating content for the website and finding creative ways to communicate an idea or event to students is one of the most appealing parts of the job. I have always been a creative person, and this role feels like the perfect place to use that creativity in a meaningful way.
As a Content Marketing Assistant, my job includes: doing the best I can to update and connect with the entire student body at Sheridan College. I work on the SSU website, making sure it's up to date, write entertaining blogs for our students to read, send out emails, and even update students on all the exciting news that SSU has to offer.
Your Design Team
Meet the creative minds behind our visual storytelling and beautiful brand details
I'm a Junior Designer on the creative team; my job is to make all of our graphics for events, initiatives, popups, and swag, look as good as they possibly can. I love playing an active role in my community and the SSU is my way of giving back to the people who have made my experience here at Sheridan so incredible.
Hi, I'm Bre! I'm a multidisciplinary designer, and I love to make things! Outside of work and school, you can probably find me in my little world of music: collecting CDs, going to concerts, making playlists, and playing on my guitar.
Hi, I’m Sabrina! I’m a Junior Designer at the SSU. My pastimes of choice include collecting toys and trinkets, writing songs on my guitar, and listening to music.

If I could make even a single person experience better, then I want to be a part of that cause.
I really enjoy being a part of something that is dedicated to making a positive impact on our community.
My goals for my role this year is to engage with the students and show them what SSU has to offer!
