Q: What are some of your goals for your role this year?
“This year, my primary objective is to bridge students with essential resources. As Sheridan welcomes thousands of new students annually, my focus centers on guiding, assisting, and guaranteeing a seamless college transition ensuring they have everything that they need for a successful start and a thriving journey ahead.”
What program are you in? And why did you choose this program at Sheridan?
“I'm currently enrolled in the Child and Youth Care Program at Sheridan College. I chose this path because it offers incredibly fulfilling work. Being able to assist young kids and adolescents with unique abilities in navigating life, enabling them to embrace their full potential, is what drives me into the program. Bringing positivity during their toughest times and making a real impact in their lives brings me happiness.”
What are 3 things on your bucket list?
So on my bucket list, three things that I really want to do.
First, I want to go to a Taylor Swift concert – her songs make great memories.
Then, I want to see the Northern Lights – those pretty colors in the sky.
Last, I want to try skydiving and feel that flying sensation :)
What was your first memory of the SSU? How did you discover that the SSU existed for student support?
“ I came across SSU in my early college days, and since then, I've been drawn to their idea about working for students and creating the best experiences. I joined the SSU as an Event Team Member where I collaborated with incredible teams to organize fantastic student events. Now, I'm the Digital Community Coordinator at SSU, capturing all the wonderful moments that make student life special.”
Which SSU Perk Partner is your personal favourite?
“I love Italian food and Dal Moro's is one of my favourite to-go pasta place. So definitely love 10% off on that.”
Are you a part of any SSU clubs/ associations or volunteer work?
“One of the best SSU events that I have attended so far has to be Loud Luxury Concert.”
