Q: What are some of your goals for your role this year?

“One goal that I have as a Marketing Street Team Member is to positively engage with students at Sheridan and get them hyped for all the incredible events we will be hosting over the year. I know that when I was a new student at Sheridan it felt a bit daunting to join clubs or to attend community events, but I really wanted to be part of the college community. So, I want to provide a comfortable and open experience for students who may have felt the same as I did, and give them the answers to make them feel welcome! As for personal goals, I believe this role will prepare me for future opportunities where I will be working with a team as well as a general population on a regular basis. Being a Marketing Street Team Member will help me feel more comfortable taking on a leadership role and working within a professional setting.”

What program are you in? And why did you choose this program at Sheridan?

“I am a student in the Media Fundamentals program. I decided to choose this program at Sheridan because I was previously in another creative arts program prior to my current one, and I felt like that program wasn't exactly the right fit for me. I knew that I wanted to do something creative, and I have always been keen on working with footage, photos, and sound, so I made the decision to try out the Media Fundamentals program to see if this was the right path for me. Thankfully, it was! I have had a great time so far, and I look forward to what the rest of the program has in store for me. Once I complete this program, I am hoping to get into the Bachelor of Film and Television program! :)”

What are 3 things on your bucket list?

Become an editor for a feature film
Travel for leisure and/or work
Be a cat mom :) <3

What was your first memory of the SSU? How did you discover that the SSU existed for student support?

“I frequently check the SSU website to see what's happening and new, and one day I noticed that there was an Open Mic night in The Marquee. This seemed like a really interesting event, so I invited a bunch of friends to attend the event with me. We all had such an incredible time! The performers had great acts, and it felt good to support the students who were up on stage. I got a taste of the talent that is on campus, and I would attend another Open Mic any day of the week!”

Which SSU Perk Partner is your personal favourite?

“Definitely loving the Presto card discount!”

What's your favourite SSU Food spot on campus or go-to meal?

“The Marquee!”

Are you a part of any SSU clubs/ associations or volunteer work?

“I am in the Sheridan Women in Film and Television (SWIFT) club!”
