Ritz, Vice President of Engagement

I’ve always wanted to be a part of something that can somehow make a difference. Joining the SSU Team as VP of Engagement has given me an opportunity to be of service to my fellow students & staff, working alongside the College, to plan a variety of relevant and interesting events within Sheridan campuses.

What are some of your goals for your role this year?

“My goal this year is to seek unique ways to create an inviting environment where students can build social connections with their peers. I also look forward to helping improve their overall college experience by creating student-centred events/programs that will encourage them to get more involved and feel more at home.”

Q: What program are you in? And why did you choose this program at Sheridan?

“I'm in the Architectural Technician Program at HMC Campus. Working as Design Architect for five years back in my home country, I wanted to study something related to my field. Learning the courses, facilities and wide range of opportunities available at Sheridan College, I didn't have any second thoughts to study here! :)”

What are 3 things on your bucket list?

  1. Learn to play drums!

  2. Design and build an Off-grid Sustainable Home

  3. Visit Japan

What was your first memory of the SSU? How did you discover that the SSU existed for student support?

“My first encounter with the SSU was during my program orientation week. I clearly remember talking to one of the SSU reps about the different services, clubs and events they're offering for new students like me. I also loved their giveaways & perks! :) Since then, I kept myself updated with SSU programs through social media and in-campus promotions.”
