Part-Time, Student Position (Oakville, TRAF Campus)

  • APPLY NOW – Part-Time Role

    Please note that this position will require you to work in a physical space on campus.

    The Customer Service Representative will be the main contact for all students’ inquiries related to the SSU and our services. The Customer Service Representative works closely with students as well as SSU Executive team and professional staff.

    Specific Duties Include:

    • Answer front line questions regarding all SSU services including Health and Dental plan, Food First, Legal Resource, Graduation Photos, Tax Service etc.

    • Promote services offered by the SSU by explaining what we offer, how to use the service, and the features and benefits of the service

    • Ensure all emails, voicemail, live chat messages and virtual platform (when applicable) are answered in a timely manner and any serious issues are escalated to the appropriate manager

    • Recording a detailed daily log of completed tasks, pending tasks, student inquiries, and student feedback

    • Work with all team members in a fair and respectful manner in accordance with legislation and SSU Policy and Procedures. Contribute ideas in relation to operational efficiency and service standards and make recommendations to the Director of Services and Assistant Services Manager

    • Participate in virtual and in-person events, info-sessions, engagement activities, Open House and Orientation when needed

    • Mandatory attendance at all relevant training and team meetings

    • Perform other duties as assigned throughout the year by the Assistant Services Manager and Director of Services

    • Booking and coordinating college classrooms, boardrooms, and tables for SSU Clubs, SSU Executives and SSU Staff (if restrictions are lifted by the college regarding campus access)

    • Cleaning and tidying of CSR work desk

    • Doing facility checks in our spaces and troubleshooting/fixing anything that may fall under our department
      Coordinating and sorting interoffice mail, follow guidelines for distributing packages shipped to our offices.

    • Wear provided uniform for every scheduled shift

    • Assist students with faxing, laminating, and binding services

    Required Skills:

    • Ability to deal effectively and courteously with the Sheridan community

    • Must be punctual and arrive to all shifts on time

    • Be present at the desk during your scheduled shift

    • Answer all incoming emails and live chats quickly and in friendly and helpful manner

    • Willingness to host and participate in virtual and in person events considered a strong asset

    • Enthusiastic, punctual and professional

    • Desire to work with groups of students in diverse settings

Part-Time, Student Position (Brampton, DAV Campus)

  • APPLY NOW – Part-Time Role

    As a Clubs Coordinator, you'll work with the leaders of each club to provide clubs with resources and opportunities along with engaging with the Sheridan Community to showcase the importance and value of being involved with clubs at Sheridan. You’ll be the primary contact for Club Presidents when it comes to club initiatives and student engagement, and will report to the Assistant Manager of Clubs.

    Specific Duties Include:

    Club Management:

    • Assess and approve all new campus club applications, as well as verify the annual renewal of previously existing campus clubs.

    • Ensure all members of SSU clubs act with due diligence in their operation as well as follow all Sheridan and SSU policies.

    • Escalate any club policy violations or issues to club management for follow through and assist with action as need be.

    • Act as the primary contact for Club Presidents for events, initiatives and club engagements and maintain consistent contact throughout the year.

    • Organize and coordinate regular Club President Meetings for club executives.

    • Attend club department meetings, as required.

    Club Administration:

    • Responsible for the collection and organization of forms and data related to club events and initiative requests throughout the year.

    • Work with the Club Department management and SSU Admin to discuss and manage grant and sponsorship requests for all clubs on campus.

    • Assist clubs with both on and off-campus event coordination.

    • Work with other SSU departments to ensure that all information in terms of large club events are communicated in an efficient and timely manner according to SSU timelines.

    Student Engagement:

    • Engage and encourage Sheridan students to create, maintain and join clubs – both social and academic.

    • Organize, coordinate and run a campus Clubs Fair once each semester as well as other large department events as required.

    • Organize table engagements and pop ups for clubs in our SSU student centre spaces to continuously provide access for clubs to engage with students.

    • Work with other SSU departments to promote events and activities.

    • Attend SSU trainings and activities including New Student Orientation, Open House and SU 101.

    • Other duties and projects as required, as assigned by club management.

    Qualifications:

    • A full or part time daytime student at Sheridan College with a GPA of at least 2.5

    • Must be enrolled for the full 2025/2026 academic year.

    • Must be a student at the campus at which the position is held.

    • Not hold an academic co-op term for the 2025/2026 year.
