November 26, 2025, Sheridan students, staff, and community members gathered for 'Take Back The Night' evening. Gender-based violence continues to shape how students experience campus life, impacting their well-being & sense of safety. This truth connects deeply to the significance of the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women (NDOR) observed on December 6 of every year.

On November 19, 2025, the Ontario government passed Bill 33. You may be wondering 'what is Bill 33, and why should I care?'. While the legislation has moved forward quickly, we truly want you to understand what Bill 33 is, where things currently stand, and how your student leaders at the SSU are advocating on your behalf.
