““I’m an international student from South Africa and when I first got to Sheridan, I was looking for opportunities to meet new people and earn money…the SSU offered both. I love the different events that are always happening and the fact that I have the opportunity to connect with so many different people. I look forward to developing more friendships through the SSU and learning new skills that I can use in the years to come.””

Q: What are some of your goals for your role this year?
“This year, I really want to organize events that focus on strengthening school spirit and encouraging students to get to know each other and form meaningful friendships.”
Q: What program are you in? And why did you choose this program at Sheridan?
“I’m in the BFTV (Film and TV) program. I chose it because of how hands-on it is, in comparison to other film programs, as well as Sheridan’s prestigious reputation in the industry”

What was your first memory of the SSU? How did you discover that the SSU existed for student support?
“My first year at Sheridan, during residence move-in day, it was around 30 degrees Celsius and I was offered a freezie and welcome bag in exchange for following the SSU instagram page!”

“Open Mics”
