Just Be: Discover Identity

The moments where you feel lost are actually a good indication that growth is underway.  Being lost was never a bad thing unless one didn't use it as an opportunity to find something; anything.

I encourage you to walk around downtown in the afternoon, or explore different towns that you haven’t allowed yourself to explore. Stop by a coffee shop. Loiter around and look through “mom and pop” shops. Allow yourself to get excited over the smallest things, because it’s those honest moments with ourselves that helps us identify forgotten or new aspects of ourselves.

Getting “Lost” and Find Aspects of Yourself Starter Kit:

  1. 100% Charged Phone
  2. Phone Charger
  3. UBER/LIFT/Google Maps Downloaded, TAXI phone numbers on your phone
  4. Notebook/ Journal
  5. Pen
  6. Extra Pen
  7. Wallet (with cash/debit/credit card hopefully)
  8. Comfortable shoes
  9. Open-Mind
  10. Curiosity

If that doesn’t spark your interest, then browse online on YouTube, Google, and Social Media etc. – take note of things that interest you even if it’s something that you’ve never acknowledged before. Be honest with yourself.

Knowing yourself is an ongoing process that should never stop. We are constantly learning and growing, and with that comes change.

It’s important to take the time to acknowledge these changes and take note of things you’ve improved on, and things you’ve yet to improve on. This is a part of the process of becoming the best version of yourself.

Get “lost”, get nervous, and get excited, because sometimes, we need to indulge ourselves with new experiences…
