Meet Ben, your HMC Vice President!

"My name is Ben LeBlanc, and I’m your Vice President for the HMC Campus. Prior to this role, I’ve represented my campus on the SSU Board of Directors, advocating for a variety of issues including the Shuttle Bus and Ancillary Fees. In addition to this, I am currently the lead for Jack.org Sheridan, a club on campus that advocates for a greater focus on student mental health and seeks to reduce stigmas surrounding it! I’m passionate about soccer, mental health, and getting involved, so if you’re someone who wants to get involved in any way on campus, please feel free to connect with me!

My goals for the year center around improving the student experience on campus for everyone. This means working to ensure that we deliver great services to our students, getting more students involved on campus through clubs and events, and ensuring that everyone feels like part of the Sheridan community. I want to give every student the ability to have an outstanding experience at Sheridan, so I’ll always be working to put your interests first in everything I do!"

Fun facts about Ben:

Something interesting about myself is that I was fortunate enough to carry the Olympic Torch as part of the ceremonies for the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver!

Q: If you could go anywhere in the world, where would it be?

A: If I had the opportunity to travel anywhere in the world, I think that I would travel throughout Canada. There are so many beautiful places across the provinces and territories that I would love to visit, such as Gros Morne National Park in Newfoundland, Kouchibouguac in New Brunswick, or Nahanni in the Northwest Territories ⛰

Q: If you had to watch one (and ONLY one) series on Netflix for the rest of your life, what would it be?

A: While this series is not on Netflix, if I had to watch only one series for the rest of my life, I would choose to watch a series with thousands of episodes, such as General Hospital (GH) or the Young and the Restless (Y&R). Despite the fact that I hate Soap Operas, each has over 11,000 episodes, meaning I could watch them forever without seeing the same episode twice!
