legal advice

Talk is cheap, unless you have to talk to a lawyer! As your Student Union, we want to help you out when you need it the most. That's why we offer complementary legal advice for Sheridan students. Our legal advice covers everything from family law, immigration, criminal law, to real estate and business.

Meet William, our designated on-site lawyer! Book by contacting your campus SSU office.

Meet William, our designated on-site lawyer! Book by contacting your campus SSU office.

Our lawyer can provide you with confidential advice and assistance with legal respect to most legal issues, including landlord and tenant conflicts, family law, employment law, criminal law, debt issues, immigration and other government matters, and corporate and intellectual property issues. In conjunction with these services, the lawyer is also available to provide advice on legal documents and proceedings and to notarize or commission documents where appropriate.

The legal service is provided by William Reid, who has both a law degree and an MBA. Mr. Reid has been a lawyer for 30 years, and has provided legal services to students in particular for over 25 years.

Mr. Reid is available on Wednesdays and Saturdays at various times between 8:15 AM and 12:00 PM. Students must visit an SSU office in order to book an appointment.
