As a domestic or OHIP-eligible Sheridan student, you are entitled to sessions delivered by telephone, by video counselling, or by e-counselling.

The Maple Assistance Program gives you access to a range of confidential support services, all through the Maple platform.
Whether you're dealing with stress, anxiety, relationship concerns, financial questions, legal issues, or simply need someone to talk to, you can connect with trained professionals through phone, video, or in-person appointments.

Counselling - issue-based sessions with trained counsellors to address the challenges that matter most to you
Legal consultations (LegalConnect) - phone-based legal information, plus an optional referral to a local lawyer that includes one free 30-minute consultation and a 25% discount on standard fees where applicable
Financial guidance FinancialConnect) - telephonic support covering personal finance questions and planning topics
Work-life resources FamilySource) - digital resource lists for childcare, elder care, pet services, relocation, housing, and everyday life needs
Digital self-care tools CCBT — interactive cognitive behavioural therapy programs for depression, anxiety, stress, chronic pain, sleep, and overall wellbeing ● Well-being coaching — sessions focused on nutrition, sleep, weight management, stress management, burnout, and resilience ● Crisis support — 24/7 crisis assessment and triage when you need immediate help

Maple is designed to give you support in the format that works best for you. You can connect with trained counsellors, well-being coaches, legal consultants, and financial experts by phone, video, or in person.

To access the Maple Assistance Program:
Log in to your Maple account through the web.
Select the Maple Assistance Program tile from your dashboard.
Set up your account.
Once you're inside the program, navigate through the app to access the service you need.
All phone-based services can be reached through a single central number: 1-877-315-2276, available 24/7.
Do I have to be experiencing a crisis to use Maple?
No. Maple can be used for a wide range of challenges, from stress and anxiety to financial, legal, relationship, and everyday life concerns.
What is the Maple Assistance Program?
The Maple Assistance Program is a support service available through the Maple platform. It provides access to counselling and a range of additional mental health, wellness, legal, financial, and work-life resources.
How many counselling sessions do I get?

Maple Assistance Program – 5 sessions per presenting issue for counselling, plus legal consultations, financial guidance, work-life resources (childcare, elder care, relocation), digital self-care tools CCBT, and well-being coaching
Maple includes 24/7 crisis assessment and triage. You can access the program through your Maple account or use the central phone number provided through your account.
As a Sheridan student, you also have access to free counselling services provided on campus to support your academic, personal, and social growth. All appointments are free and confidential.
