Meet the DJ & Performers

▸▸▸ DJ RENNIE ◂◂◂

Toronto-based DJ Rennie is one of the hottest DJs in Canada – A genre-blending force rooted in dancehall, hip-hop, R&B, soca, Latin, and afrobeats. Known for his high-energy sets and unique musical approach, he’s opened for artists like Skillibeng, Sean Paul, Post Malone, and Keyshia Cole, and co-founded Wi Deh’ya, a platform celebrating Caribbean music and community. With momentum building and his presence growing both online and on stage, DJ Rennie is pushing boundaries and redefining what it means to be a modern DJ — bridging cultures, creating unforgettable moments, and setting the tone for the next generation of global sound.

▸▸▸ THE FREE LABEL ◂◂◂

The Free Label comprises six multi-instrumentalists and vocalists from Toronto, Canada. Their music is a unique fusion of 70s disco, 90s R&B, and high-energy funk, resulting in a captivating, dance-focused show. Their 2019 single "All Night" propelled them to new heights, enabling them to tour internationally.

 
 

Here’s What You Should Know About the 7th Annual SheridanLife Gala

  • This event is on Thursday, April 16th, 2026, at The Station in HMC Campus from 7:30 PM to 1:00 AM. 

  • Please note the dress code is semi-formal/formal. Dress well, and you might just win a FREE aerial tour of Toronto, a luxury car experience at Hamilton, or the CN Tower Edge Walk!

  • Bus from the Trafalgar campus will be provided for an additional $5.

  • Early bird pricing ($30) is available until March 20th, 2026. After this date, tickets will be $40 for students and $50 for guests.

  • Open to Sheridan Students + 1 Guest. All attendees must purchase a ticket.   

  • All Sheridan students and guests’ tickets will include 1 FREE drink. (can only be collected until 8:30 pm)

  • Sheridan students can bring one (1) guest.

  • NO BAGS – Coat check is mandatory; no backpacks are allowed inside the venue. No exceptions. (No bags will be stored in coat check, and the SSU is not responsible for helping you figure out what to do with your bag). Small purses/crossbody bags are allowed and will be searched by security.

  • Bring a physical valid government-issued ID proving you are 19 years of age or older.

    • This is a 19+ event. All Sheridan Students must bring their valid Government-issued ID and Sheridan OneCard. No photocopies or digital copies will be accepted. Please have a valid government-issued ID ready (OR your country’s issued passport) for verification upon arrival. 🪪 

    • Please note: Valid government-issued IDs include the following:

      • Your physical Ontario Driver’s License

      • Your physical Canadian Passport

      • Your physical Canadian Citizenship Card

      • Your physical Photo card issued by the Liquor Control Board of Ontario (LCBO) 

      • Your Secure Indian Status Card issued by the Government of Canada 

      • Your Permanent Resident Card issued by the Government of Canada 

    • A full course meal and late night snacks are included.

    • All attendees must be 19+ and bring ID, whether or not alcohol will be consumed.

  • Appetizer hour: 7:30 P.M. - 8:30P.M.

    Hot food served: 8:30 P.M. - 10:00 P.M.

    Late night snack: 11:30 P.M.
