In honour of Islam Awareness Week, the Muslim Student Association will led a discussion with the National Council on Canadian Muslims (NCCM) on the topic of Hate Crimes in Canada: Remembering the Québec City Mosque Shooting and the Muslim Perspective.

The Muslim Student Association will be joined by Omar Khamissa, Manager of Community Engagement at NCCM, to discuss the topic of: Hate Crimes in Canada: Remembering the Québec City Mosque Shooting and the Muslim Perspective.

This event will also feature words from Sheridan Brampton Imam, Zahir Bacchus, Margaret Sanderson from Sheridan’s Centre for Equity and Inclusion. Jane Ngobia, VP of Inclusive Communities will present and stand in solidarity.
