Your fav summer event is back! Kick off SSU trip season with a hike at the beautiful Kelso Conservation Area! 🤩Explore multiple trails with us or take some time at your own cost to do a climbing tower, archery, ropes course and more! ☀️

Here’s What You Should Know About Take a Trip Thursday: Kelso Conservation Area (OFF-CAMPUS)

  • This off-campus event is happening on Thursday, June 25th, 2026, at Kelso Conservation Area.

  • Please wear appropriate hiking clothes and closed-toed shows. Check the weather and dress accordingly.

  • Bring sunscreen, a hat, water and snacks. The SSU will not be providing anything.

    • Transportation will be provided from DAVIS campus at the ‘Big S’ (outside the B wing)

    • On-campus pick-up time: 11:00 AM.

    • Event Wrap-Up Time (head back to campus): 3:30 PM.

  • ALL AGES

  • Open to Sheridan Students, Staff, Faculty + 1 guest each. All attendees must purchase a ticket.

  • Sheridan Students must show their One Cards to get onto the bus. 

    • Backpacks and bags are allowed for this trip. We encourage you to bring whatever supplies you may need for the day - water bottles, snacks, extra clothing layers, sunscreen, etc. 

    Please be prepared to have your bag on your person throughout the hike and make sure no garbage is left on the trails.
