Times in the 90’s was and is something that I’ll truly never forget because of the nostalgic memories that still come back to date. Music, fashion, movies, and more importantly the slang were things that are instilled in me from when I was a youngin’ coming up. "When I think about the ‘90s I get some heavy nostalgia. For the most part I grew up in the 2000s, but the ‘90s spilt into my childhood. Running home straight from school just to catch Disney’s Recess on TV, rocking my new blue and yellow wind breaker to school, and dunkin’ some ‘roos at lunch, I missed those days. "It’s funny, because whenever someone asks me what my favourite genre of music is…I always say hip hop and R&B from the 90s to the early 2000s. Growing up in that time period, I was exposed to a lot of music and entertainment that moulded me into the person that I am today. With so many great musical idols and television shows that taught me great morals…the nineties is honestly my favourite time period. With it having such a positive impact on my childhood, I just want the opportunity to share those great memories with others. There’s nothing more fun than the nineties….and there’s nothing more fun then frosh. ….now imagine putting those together…that’s a good time." - Akil
