A new term means a fresh chance to try something new! And what better way to do it than by joining a Sheridan club? At the SSU’s Clubs Corner, you can find over 100 student-led clubs across all campuses to help you find a place where you belong. From sketching to UX/UI design, dancing to creative writing, there’s a space for every creative mind to connect, share ideas, and have fun.
On this blog, we’re spotlighting 5 creative clubs that will nurture your imagination and make you feel welcomed at Sheridan this fall term. 😌 🍂
1. PixelPerfect (Trafalgar)
Step into the world of UX/UI design with PixelPerfect, a creative space where students can explore, learn, and grow their design skills beyond the classroom. This club feature hands-on workshops, fun monthly design challenges, and opportunities to collaborate on real projects. Curious about UX/UI design or already passionate about it? Then this is your sign to join!
2. Sheridan Recreational Dance Club (Trafalgar)
Move, groove, and express yourself with the Sheridan Recreational Dance Club! Open to all skill levels, this club explores a variety of dance styles in a fun, inclusive environment (not intimidating at all!). Members work toward an exciting end-of-term performance to share what they’ve learned, but most importantly, it’s all about having fun and building confidence on the dance floor.

3. Sketch Circle (Trafalgar)
Need a little inspiration for your blank sketchbook? Sketch Circle hosts weekly meet-ups with fresh drawing prompts, a chill creative atmosphere, and sometimes even snacks. The prompts are totally optional. You can simply bring your sketchbook, hang out, and draw alongside other artists.
4. Zine Club (Trafalgar)
Discover the beautiful art of self-publishing with ZINE CLUB! It doesn’t matter if you’re new to zine making or you already have some experience, this is a place to share ideas, learn from others, and collaborate on projects. Expect fun workshops, creative meet-ups, and the chance to be part of a printed club zine once a year (plus digital editions every semester).
5. Sheridan’s Creative Writing Corner (HMC)
This creative community explores everything from screenplays to poetry, comics to creative nonfiction; all writers are welcome at the Sheridan’s Creative Writing Corner. This club offers a cozy space for prompted writing sessions, group feedback, and special events to help you grow your craft and nurture your practice, no matter how experienced you are.
Joining a club is more than just an extra activity to do while in college; it’s a chance to meet new people, feel connected to yourself and others, and grow as a creative in a supportive community. So, don’t think about it too much, attend a club meeting and gift yourself the chance to create meaningful memories during your fall term!
