Meet your board of directors!

Agambir Singh

Board of Director, 2025-2026

Program: Software Development and Network Engineering

Tell us about you and your role within the SU:

“Hi Bruins! My name is Agam, and I'm a second-year SDNE student, honoured to serve as your Davis Campus Board Director. From winning Basketball Championships to hosting Google's Build with AI workshops, my journey at Sheridan has taught me that true leadership isn't about standing in the spotlight—it's about lifting others up, turning ideas into action, and making sure everyone feels they belong. I joined the SSU because I've seen how students struggle with mental health resources, transit, and finding their place on campus. I believe these challenges are opportunities for us to build a more supportive, connected Sheridan community. I'm committed to working with clubs and student groups to create inclusive events and opportunities where everyone feels seen and valued. What I love most about Sheridan is our vibrant, diverse community— when we support each other, we all thrive. My goal is to help every student realize that they're not alone, and together, we can make our campus a place where everyone can flourish.”

What is your goal as a member of the Board this year?

“I'm committed to improving mental health resources and transit, while creating leadership opportunities that empower students to become tomorrow's leaders.”

Tell us a fun fact about you:

“I won a men’s basketball gold medal at 19, competing above my age group. Being the underdog taught me how to stay motivated—on the court, and during those late-night study sessions when imposter syndrome loves to crash the party.”

As a new Board Member, what are your expectations of this role?

“As a new Board Member, I hope to become a better listener and advocate by understanding the diverse needs of Sheridan students. I want to learn how to turn student feedback into real change, develop empathy and diplomacy, and help create a campus where everyone feels supported and empowered. My goal is to leave Sheridan more connected and inclusive than when I started.”
