Thanks for a great year, Bruins!
We've had a blast this past term, and we're looking forward to all of the fun things we have planned for the summer. As we say goodbye to April, we wanted to take a moment and celebrate some of our biggest milestones and successes from this past month! We started the year strong (with our biggest welcome week yet), we ended the year with big events, important community work and memories to last a lifetime.
From supporting the Face It Club shine a light on World Autism Awareness Day to celebrating Pride Week with fun games and coffee chats, this month was all about bringing awareness to the things that matter most to students (and having fun along the way!).
Sheridan Student Union is proud to share company-wide wins over the last month and recognize the talented and hardworking student leaders who make the SSU team all that it is. Departments Wins/ News
Exec Team
We announced the official results for our 2023/2024 SSU Elections! With record-breaking results through nominations and a great voter turnout, we are excited to welcome our 2023/2024 Board of Directors and begin working with our new Board in May
Your President, Kyle Budge, held interviews to expand a group of new Executive and Vice Presidents to join the SSU team
Rhema, your VP of Community, hosted the final SSU Staff Party of the team inside the Den at the Davis campus! We awarded staff awards, played fun trivias and celebrated the year, together
Services Department
We facilitated the last set of Paragon Tax Clinic sessions to support students who were looking for support filing their taxes with accessible help on campus
We celebrated our CSR team for ensuring another successful term of helping students via in-person, phone and email
Clubs Department
We welcomed a new club in April, Music Theatre Student Alliance and a new prospective club became active, Chess Club!
We would also like to highlight and thank all of our clubs, and their executive teams, for a wonderful year and for bringing all of these amazing clubs, both new and returning, to the Sheridan community on campus this year.
Events Team
Welcomed Alfred, Ahmed, and Mauricio as our new Student Life Leads
Also celebrated Pride Week the first week of April and had a ton of successful engagements
Overall, April was a great ending to our School Calendar Year
We hosted another successful Sheridan Life Gala with over 700 attendees!
Marketing Street Team
The Promo team had their last successful food sample promotion for the month! They gathered a good amount of feedback from some very satisfied students about our food services!
The DCCs dropped their first reel of our Food services outlets that included info about some menu items, student staff and some awesome BTS moments!
We kicked off #SheridanPride this year in April! The team decorated their carts in Pride gear for the week & helped out with promoting; Coffee Talks, BINGO and Open Mic Night in celebration of Pride!
The DCCs wrapped up the semester by increasing their TikTok presence & reintroducing our incoming Bruins to our services & perk partners through some very creative reels & tiktoks!

🗣️ Shout out to Leia Ali, Sarah Stone and Ellina Bouffal! “I want to send a huge congrats to all three amazing coordinators from the 22/23 year - Sarah, Ellina and Leia. They have been a huge part of the growth and success that we have seen in the clubs department and have created amazing relationships and lasting connections with the clubs at all three campuses. And of course, a congratulations to them for moving to the next steps of their adventures; for Ellina graduating and completing her program and to Sarah and Leia for becoming SSU Vice Presidents for the next year - I am looking forward to seeing all that you accomplish in the future!” - A message from Chloe to her team!

Thank you to all our Staff and Student Leaders for their hard work, laughs and contributions every day. The winter term was filled with community wins and personal growth, and we can’t wait to see what exciting new activities we get up to this summer!
