Our Annual General Meeting (AGM) is a chance for you to learn about Sheridan Student Union’s impact from the 2025-2026 year. This year, we will also reveal our new mission, vision, and guiding principles. Be the first to see our organization’s renewed direction and the values that will guide our work moving forward.
Here’s What You Should Know About the Annual General Meeting (HMC)
The AGM will be held in-person at the HMC Campus (5th Floor) on October 15th, 2026. OneCard is required for entry and all Sheridan students have the right to vote at the AGM.

If you cannot attend the AGM, but would like to have your vote count, you will need to appoint someone as your “proxy” and complete the proxy section of the registration form.
Any member wishing to propose amendments or revisions to SSU Bylaw may submit a request through the process outlined in Section 11.3 of the SSU Bylaw. A Bylaw Proposal Form can be requested from the Chief Returning Officer by email at: ssui.cro@sheridancollege.ca.
LEARN ABOUT OUR KEYNOTE SPEAKER
After last year’s success, we have the talented Jared Big Canoe returning to our AGM as a keynote speaker! He is Anishinaabe from the Chippewas of Georgina Island and a dedicated community leader. Jared holds deep knowledge of Indigenous protocols and a strong commitment to youth; he creates space for learning, growth, and celebration. Jared Big Canoe is both a Healer and an entrepreneur.
