Join the SSU for a full day of adventure at Algonquin Provincial Park, one of Ontario’s most iconic outdoor destinations! Spend the day exploring scenic trails, taking in breathtaking views, capturing incredible photos, and enjoying the beauty of Ontario’s wilderness.

And the adventure doesn’t stop there! On the way home, we’ll make a special stop at Webers, a legendary roadside favourite known for its famous burgers, fries, and classic cottage-country vibes.

Here’s What You Should Know About SSU Weekend Getaways Presents: Trails and Burgers Feat Algonquin Park and Webers (OFF-CAMPUS)

• This off-campus event is happening on Saturday, October 10th, 2026, at Algonquin Provincial Park.

  • Transportation will be provided from HMC campus at the ‘Big S’ (outside the A wing)

  • On-campus pick-up time: 7:15 A.M.

  • Event Wrap-Up Time (head back to campus): 10:00 P.M.

• Open to Sheridan Students and Staff + 2 Guests. All attendees must purchase a ticket.

• Sheridan Students must show their One Cards to get onto the bus. 

• We will be covering the hikes marked in the bright green box. Click here to explore the map.

• More Information About The Hike

  • There will be two potential hiking trails: Lookout Trail and Spruce Bog Boardwalk.

  • The hikes are suitable for novice to moderate hikers.

  • Participants will receive an SSU water bottle and snack bag.

  • Participants must pack their own lunch.

  • Weber’s Burgers will be provided on the way home.
