“As a previous Events Team Lead, I wanted to join the Marketing and Communications team because I really admire the work they do and how much thought goes into it. Creating content for the website and finding creative ways to communicate an idea or event to students is one of the most appealing parts of the job. Q: What are some of your goals for your role this year?
I want to create content that students can genuinely connect with. Whether through blogs or other digital content, my goal is to help students see the amazing resources SSU offers and the ways they can get involved. I want to communicate information in a way that feels clear, creative, and relatable, so students feel excited to engage with us and take advantage of everything available to them.
Q: What program are you in? And why did you choose this program at Sheridan?
I am in the Creative Writing and Publishing program. I chose this path because I have always loved reading and writing, and I want to learn how to express emotions in a way that feels honest and meaningful. Writing has always been the place where I can explore ideas, connect with people, and share experiences that matter to me. My goal is to create work that resonates with others and helps them feel understood, the same way stories have always done for me.
Q: What was your first memory of the SSU? How did you discover that the SSU existed for student support?
I discovered the SSU at orientation in my first year. But the first event I attended was a Raptors game with my friends.
