Our department had a couple of exciting wins this term. We hosted a Blended CPR Standard First Aid training session, enabling 24 students to earn certification, giving them valuable life-saving skills and credentials that support their personal safety and future employment.

We also held our first-ever Farmers Market on campus, which was a great success. The event supported more than 80 students per campus by providing access to fresh produce and non-perishable food items, improving food accessibility while creating a positive, engaging community event for students.

Sheridan Student Union Events

February was a busy month for our events team! We brought back some of our most popular pops ups like Bad Tattoos and our annual Valentine’s DIY stations. Students got to craft some cards and make flowers out of pipe cleaners to celebrate the day of love. Our team also supported the Black History Month kickoff event, held an Emo Pub night and a Valentine’s Murder Mystery!

The events team also supported the Chinese Students and Scholars Association (CSSA)’s Chinese New Year event at our Trafalgar campus and, to close the month off, we held Music Bingo and Karaoke at our HMC and Davis campuses! This month, students got to connect with each other and celebrate some important things. Our team did a great job in giving our Sheridan community the spaces to have fun and celebrate themself!

Updates from our Sheridan Student Union Clubs

We held successful club fairs for both our Trafalgar and HMC Campuses, with many students engaging with our clubs and Clubs Coordinator to learn all about club life and how to get engaged and be a part of, or start up your own, club. We supported our clubs in hosting 34 club events throughout the month of February.
We also welcomed our wonderful new Clubs Assistant Manager, Mehak, to the team, who will step in to help assist the Clubs Coordinators and individual clubs further.

Updates from Finance Team

We have finished the interview for the Summer 2026 Accounting Co-op position and are looking forward to welcoming them in May.
