Sheridan Student Union, Sheridan Alumni and the EDGE entrepreneurship hub have teamed up with alumnus, innovator, and Academy Award winner Tibor Madjar to help students use AI to build impactful websites and digital portfolios! With the latest addition to our Student Savings Program, Sheridan students can now create a Hocoos Premium website for $30/ year.
The Alumni Behind the Program - Who is Tibor Madjar?
Tibor Madjar graduated from Computer Animation in 1999 and throughout his career, he has made significant waves in the entertainment and technology sectors.
In 2014, he won an Academy Award for scientific and technical achievement for conceiving and designing Mudbox - a 3D sculpting software used to create detailed characters and environments in films including Lord of the Rings, King Kong, Avatar, Life of Pi, The Dark Knight, and The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.
He is also the Co-Founder of PayPro Global, one of the world’s leading eCommerce partners, which now supports 25 languages, more than 110 global currencies, and over 70 payment methods worldwide.
As Co-Founder of Hocoos, Madjar created a tool Sheridan community members can use to highlight their work to potential employers, create a digital space for their portfolios, or for those who may be starting up entrepreneurial ventures. As a former student, Madjar knows just how much work is produced at Sheridan College, and wants to provide students with an opportunity to shine online.
