Successfully ran the Health and Wellness Fair that had organizations such as Moyo, Student Care, Guard Me, Oakville Optometry, PHSC, and much more!
Ran our first-ever on-campus flu shot clinic hosted by Rexall!
106 registrants for our Hire Up workshop being hosted by CEO of Hire Up Caitlyn Ngu!
Our Clubs & Organizations
Clubs Coordinators held our Fall Clubs Fair and our clubs hosted 35 events this month!
We have created 4 new prospective clubs, and are actively looking for students interested in joining the following clubs on campus:
4th Order of Shenaniganry: A group of ingenious, yet oddly well-intentioned individuals who have mastered the art of doing good with our own take.
Sheridan Cheese Club: Eat cheese together while discussing important matters, both cheese and non-cheese related.
Stop Motion Animation Club: A club to learn more about the stop motion animation community.
MESA Sheridan: A club for Middle Eastern students at Sheridan
FIFA Esports: A group of passionate gamers who love playing and competing in FIFA, the popular soccer video game.
Ignitus Community Club: A new Christian-based club at HMC.
Relay for Life: A club working to raise awareness about cancer.
We have 1 new prospective club registered this month:
Sketch Circle Trafalgar: A club all about casual sketching.
Our Events Team
The Halloween Haunt trip this year was a big success! It’s always a favourite event and we would love to keep this tradition going for many years to come!
The Annual Kids Halloween Party and Downey’s Farm Pumpkinfest adventure this year were great family events. Kids and parents alike had a great time watching the magic show, painting pumpkins, and getting drawings and their faces painted!
We had over 350 attendees at the Halloween Party at Trafalgar, and 450 at Garba at HMC!
Our Food Services Team
We hosted a Turkey Dinner for Thanksgiving and that was a big hit at HMC campus.
We made food for the Annual Kids Halloween Party on Saturday, October 28th, 2023.
All three campuses gave out samples of the SSU Food Menus and students received a coupon to get a 15% discount when they bought the sample item of that day. The sample item this month was masala fries! Follow our SSU_hungry page for more food news throughout the year!
For National Coffee Day, all three campuses held a Buy one coffee and Get one FREE coffee deal!
Staff Shoutouts & Wins:

Thank you to all our Staff and Student Leaders for their hard work, laughs, and contributions every day. This month was filled with community wins and personal growth. We can’t wait to see what exciting new activities we get up to next month!
