“Don’t wait until things get heavy or last minute. Start assignments early, ask for help sooner, and use resources. It saves stress later.”

Q: Tell us about your experience in the Bachelor of Business Administration Finance program!
A: “It’s been challenging but in a good way. It’s taught me how to think deeper about money, business decisions, and real-life finance situations. I’ve learned a lot about analyzing numbers and staying disciplined, and it’s helped me feel more confident about my future.”
Q: What inspired you to choose this program in the first place?
A: “I chose finance because I’ve liked numbers, and I wanted a program that opens doors. Finance is something you can apply anywhere like business, banking, investing, even your personal life.”
Q: If you could go back in time, what’s one thing you wish you’d known before starting your program?
A: “I’d tell myself to plan earlier and stay consistent. Like don’t wait until things get heavy or last min as example start assignments early, ask for help sooner, and use resources. It saves stress later.”
Q: What does a typical shift look like for you as a Customer Service Representative (CSR)?
A: “A typical shift is helping students at the front desk, answering questions, giving directions, helping them figure out who to talk to, and making sure they leave with the right info. Some days are calm, some days are busy, but it’s always about supporting students!”
Q: What are some of your goals for your role this year?
A: “My goals this year are to keep giving good service, grow my communication skills, and help students feel comfortable when they come to us. I also want to be more involved and learn how I can help the team in more ways.”
Q: What do you enjoy most about being a CSR at the SSU?
A: “I like being able to help people. A lot of students come in confused or stressed, and it feels good when I can make things clear and help them feel better before they leave!”
Q: What advice would you give students who are visiting the SSU for the first time?
A: “Don’t be shy...just ask questions. SSU is there to help you with anything. If you’re not sure where to go, start with us and we’ll point you in the right direction.”
Q: What’s one thing you wish more students knew about SSU services?
A: “I wish more students knew they don’t have to figure everything out alone. If you’re stuck, come in and ask the SSU can help or connect you with the right department.”
Q: How do you balance your studies with working at the SSU?
A: “I stay organized and try to plan my week. I break down my schoolwork into smaller tasks so I’m not rushing last minute. At work its pushes me to manage my time better.”
Q: What do you like to do in your free time outside of school and work?
A: I like going to the gym, listening to music, and just resetting. Sometimes I’ll just chill, hang with friends and take some quiet time to recharge.
Q: Do you have any hobbies that help you relax or recharge?
A: Definitely working out. It clears my head and helps with stress. Music helps too.
