Meet your board of directors!
Krishna Sharma
Board of Director, 2025-2026
Program: Software Development and Network Engineering
Tell us about you and your role within the SU:
““My name is Krishna Sharma, and I’m a third-semester student in the Software Development and Network Engineering program at Sheridan College. I’m passionate about technology, leadership, and student advocacy. Over the past year, I have actively participated in SSU events and collaborated with clubs to help foster a more vibrant and inclusive student experience. I’ve also supported sustainability initiatives through Sheridan’s Mission Zero program and taken part in SSU competitions that gave me a deeper understanding of campus life and student engagement. Now, I’m honoured to serve as a member of the Board of Directors, where I’ll continue working to represent and uplift the student voice.”
What is your goal as a member of the Board this year?
“As a Board Director, my main goal is to advocate for initiatives that support student well-being, equity, and access. Specifically, I want to focus on three key areas:
Mental health and wellness – advocating for increased access to support services and resources that address the diverse needs of students.
Financial support – pushing for more scholarships, bursaries, and emergency funding to ease financial stress for students.
Cultural inclusion – supporting opportunities that highlight and celebrate the diversity of our student body across all Sheridan campuses.
Through these efforts, I hope to contribute to a campus environment where every student feels supported, valued, and empowered to succeed.”
Tell us a fun fact about you:
“I once built my very first game using HTML5 and JavaScript through a platform called ZIM.js—it was simple, but watching it come to life was pure magic and sparked my love for web development. I can code for hours with lo-fi music and a cup of chai—it’s my productivity ritual! Outside of tech, I’m a huge anime fan and currently hooked on One Piece. Watching Luffy and the crew chase their dreams has been an epic journey. Visiting the One Piece Tower in Japan is definitely on my bucket list!”
As a new Board Member, what are your expectations of this role?
““I see this role as a chance to drive positive change and advocate for student needs. I look forward to collaborating with fellow Board members and SSU leadership to amplify student voices and contribute to initiatives that matter. I’m also excited to learn more about student governance, participate in meaningful discussions, and grow as a leader who’s deeply committed to student success.”
