Get to know Miko (she/her):
Q: Tell us about you and your role within the SSU
I wanted to work for the SSU to be a part of what makes Sheridan life fun and enjoyable. If I could make even a single person experience better, then I want to be a part of that cause.
Q: What are some of your goals for your role this year?
Some of my goals are to do more networking for my program/career by either building relationships with other students in my program or going to networking events in my area. Another goal of mine is to maintain my academic GPA or improve my overall GPA.
Q: What program are you in? And why did you choose this program at Sheridan?
I'm in the Honours Bachelor of Film and Television, I love working behind the screen bringing a story to life for others to enjoy.
Q: What was your first memory of the SSU? How did you discover that the SSU existed for student support?
My first memory of the SSU was during the winter welcome week, and they were walking around promoting the free pancake. They came up to our group three different times to tell us about the free pancakes in the marquee, until they eventually realized they had been approaching the same group over and over again. Even after that, whenever they ran into us, they would still say hello and make us feel welcomed.
What is something on your bucket list?
1. Visit Paris
Q: Which SSU Perk Partner is your personal favourite?
One of the SSU Perks that is my favourite is the Crock A Doodle discount since me and my friends like to go and paint stuff often.
