“ Having previously served as a board member advocating for student needs from a governance perspective, I made the decision to shift into a more active role, directly advocating for the issues and policies that impact students’ lives.”

Q: What are some of your goals for your role this year?
“Some of my goals this year include increasing student engagement in our advocacy initiatives by ensuring the issues we champion at SSU reflect the real, current needs of our student body. I want students to know they have a voice, and to feel empowered to use it to call for meaningful change on the issues that affect them most.”
Q: What program are you in? And why did you choose this program at Sheridan?
“Bachelor of Experiential Design. I came up through advertising and marketing, worked across different teams, and kept finding myself drawn to the design side of things, specifically the part concerned with how people feel inside a space or experience. When I started looking for something more intentional, more cutting-edge, Experiential Design was the answer. It sits right at the intersection of where I already was and where I wanted to go.”
Q: What are 3 things on your bucket list?
Visit Japan
Visit the Grand Canyon
Go to a J.Cole Concert
Q: What was your first memory of the SSU? How did you discover that the SSU existed for student support?
“I attended a Black Excellence Initiative event organized by the executive team back in fall 2024. I met Peter who was one of the executives and he encouraged me to get involved. I ended being a board member for two years before transitioning to my current role.”
Q: Which SSU Perk Partner is your personal favourite?
“Spec Savers.”
