Get to know Jennifer (She/her):

Q: Tell us about you and your role within the SSU

I am a customer service representative/member service ambassador! I take care of the front desk at TRC. I answer emails, phone calls, live messages, and work face-to-face with everyone who comes into the SSU. I do my best to help Sheridan students find what they need, and learn how to make the most of their time here.

Q: What are some of your goals for your role this year?

I hope to finally try and sell some of my art! Whether it be at an on-campus event or through my own webstore, I need to take the first step and try.

Q: What program are you in? And why did you choose this program at Sheridan?

I am currently in my third year of the Bachelor of Craft and Design - Textiles program. I chose this program because there aren't many others like it in Ontario- here I have the opportunity to learn everything I possibly can about fabric. (How to sew, weave, dye, screen print, etc!) This knowledge will help me work professionally with my love of costuming and design, as well as give me the credentials I need to pursue a masters degree.

Q: What was your first memory of the SSU? How did you discover that the SSU existed for student support?

My first memory of the SSU would be attending a Karaoke event hosted in the Marquee- I learned about all the events that go on here, and that there's so much more support available beyond events and freebies!

Q: What are 3 things on your bucket list?

1. Visit another country.
2. Perform a song I have written on stage.
3. Design an outfit for Lady Gaga.

Q: Which SSU Perk Partner is your personal favourite?

Tarragon Theatre!

Q: Are you a part of any SSU clubs/ associations or volunteer work?

I am a member of the Fashion & Sewing Club.
