Q: Tell us about you and your role within the SSU
I am studying marketing as I have an interest in running ad campaigns and the psychology that goes into influencing consumer behaviour and purchasing decisions. This is why the SSU is a great fit for me, as I enjoy engaging with my fellow peers at Sheridan and contributing to memorable experiences that make students feel more connected to the Sheridan community. I am looking forward to interacting with students from different programs during events and pop-ups. The community here at Sheridan is truly one of a kind, and that is something I have loved most about my time here, as I have created lifelong friendships and memorable experiences.
Q: What are some of your goals for your role this year?
My goals are to help show students what the school has to offer and help get others involved! It may not seem like it at first, but the time at Sheridan goes fast, so it is important for me to help others make the most out of their experience. I want to utilize my own marketing skills by gaining practical hands-on experience with the goal of promoting SSU events, and implement my ideas to make a positive impact on the SSU.
Q: What program are you in? And why did you choose this program at Sheridan?
I am currently enrolled in the Marketing diploma program here at Sheridan and am entering my third year. I chose this program because I am passionate about creating what makes people pay attention to certain brands and advertisements, and why some campaigns connect with people on a deeper level to create core memories. Sheridan has been the perfect place to excel in this space.
Q: What was your first memory of the SSU? How did you discover that the SSU existed for student support?
My first, and most memorable memory of the SSU was when a member asked me to participate in the drop stick challenge, where a few of my friends and I won a Men's grooming kit. I learned about the SSU because I was interested in creating a ping pong club through the school, and a peer told me to contact the SSU and inquire about starting a club.

Touring every country is Europe

Q: Which SSU Perk Partner is your personal favourite?
As someone who commutes via transit, the 40% student discount on my PRESTO account is a huge perk that I utilize whenever coming to campus!
Q: What's the best SSU event you've attended so far?
The best SSU event was the Blue Jays game, where I won the ticket from a game run by the SSU. It was an unforgettable experience, and I even got a "Sheridan x Blue Jays" hat that I rock to this day!
